You are invited to contribute to the strategic agenda Water4All.

Open Consultation on "Water4All - Water Security for the Planet" Partnership’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) is open now.

"Water4All - Water Security for the Planet" has prepared the draft Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), which will navigate the strategic priorities and activities of the Partnership. You are invited to contribute further to consolidate the agenda, promote its wide diffusion and adoption, and capture priorities through the survey link below until 18 January 2021.

Who can contribute to the public consultation?

A wide range of stakeholders, primarily the researchers working in various disciplines related to water management, as well as the industry representatives, local and national public authorities and civil society concerned with the future of our water are encouraged to contribute to this important document.

“Water4All” is a candidate Partnership under the European Commission Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Framework Programme. It aims at providing solutions to the challenge of enabling water security for all on the long term. A draft description of the Partnership can be found on the EC's page dedicated to Partnerships under Cluster 6 External link..

Water4All will address all dimensions of Water security according to the UN Water definition External link.:

  • The protection of livelihoods and human rights;
  • The safeguard of human health;
  • The conservation and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity;
  • The maintenance of economic development and activities (such as energy, agriculture, industry);
  • The protection of society and related infrastructures against natural hazards;
  • Collaborative approaches to transboundary water management;
  • Good governance.

Establishing a shared Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) is a critical preliminary step to form the scientific roadmap for all activities carried out in the Partnership over its whole duration: joint transnational calls for projects, transfer projects, maturation calls, knowledge hubs, science-policy interface, capacity building, demonstration activites...

The SRIA has been developed by a Working Group bringing together representatives of the European Commission and main water-related initiatives, networks of experts and associations in Europe (Water JPI External link., EurAqua External link., EurEau External link., Aqua Publica Europea External link., Water Europe External link., European Water Association External link.).
