INRA and Formas have an agreement for research co-operation. One essential part of this co-operation is the mutual funding of joint projects of high scientific quality and of societal relevance.

Previous calls have been open both to smaller and larger projects within the INRA and Formas areas. The smaller projects was related to make it possible for researchers to visit each other institutions in order to cooperate. Beginning year 2005 the joint call and evaluations of applications to Formas and INRA will not be done for smaller projects. However, every two-year there will be a larger call. Next call for proposals will be in springtime 2010.

Proposals for smaller projects (up to 20,000 SEK) that concerns cooperation with France can be submitted to Formas any time during the year using the standard World Wide Web forms for Travel allowances and grants for workshop, symposia and congresses.
