Jointly financed research

According to the Appropriation Directives of the Swedish Ministry of Agriculture, Formas should support jointly financed research within the areas of agriculture and environmental engineering, forestry research, horticultural research and plant breeding. Activities are regulated by specific agreements with the sectors involved. The foundations and institutes that Formas has agreements with are JTI (The Swedish Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering) and Skogforsk (The Forestry Research Institute of Sweden).

Within the framework of jointly financed research Formas has also in collaboration with SLF (The Swedish Farmers Foundation for Agricultural Research), announced a call for proposals for research grants within the area of plant breeding.

Together with the national organisation GRO and with the SLF foundation a joint call has been announced targeted towards horticultural research within the climate area.
