News this year
News and changes since 2009 to the application instructions are:
- Formas has eight Standing Evaluation Panels for the 2010 evaluation process.
- Researchers may now apply for 100 per cent of their full-time positions. If the same researcher receives funds for several projects, the total funding from Formas can never exceed 100 per cent of that researchers' full-time position.
- There is no longer a limit for how many applications one researcher can be granted in each call.
- The main applicant (project leader) does no longer have to perform the main part of the research in the project.
- The evaluation criteria have been revised.
- Formas no longer gives funds for research equipment. However, equipment depreciation costs may be applied for and granted.
- Indirect costs or overhead costs should be included and specified in the application.
- Researchers who receive funding from Formas from 2010 and onwards must guarantee that their future research findings will be available to all (Open Access) within six months of being published.
