Transnational call within Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation

The call for proposals in the Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation is now open. The call addresses the overarching topics Environment /Climate Change and Health. Within this call Formas will support research projects that deals with climate change coupled with biodiversity or with food systems. Deadline for submission is 30 June 2017, 18.00 CET.
Formas is, together with The Swedish Research Council, participating in the Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) between Europe and members of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Countries participating in the joint call are from Europe: Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey, and from ASEAN: Cambodia, Lao PDR, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The aim of the call is to facilitate and strengthen collaboration between researchers in Europe and South-East Asia. Participating consortia must have a minimum of three partners, representing both regions (i.e. either two different Southeast Asian partners and one European partner, or two different European partners and one Southeast Asian partner). Funding will be provided for the duration of a maximum of three years (36 months). Projects should start earliest in January 2018.
