Horizon 2020 information meeting on Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials

On 26 November, VINNOVA and Formas invite you to a Horizon 2020 information meeting about the calls on Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. The first deadline for proposals is expected as early as the beginning of 2016.

The information meeting is aimed at actors from universities, institutes, companies and public sector who are actively seeking funding for collaborative research and innovation projects within the fields of Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. The upcoming work programme in the area offers great opportunities for Swedish actors in the area.

The meeting provides an opportunity to meet Dr. Manuel Gómez Herrero, Policy Officer in Charge of Raw Materials and Dr. Alison Imrie, Policy Officer and Work Programme Coordinator at DG Research & Innovation, both from the European Commission. Dr. Gómez Herrero and Dr. Imrie will give an overview of the opportunities within the upcoming Horizon 2020, SC5 call, i.e. WP2016-2017.

Project examples will share their experiences on setting up and running SC5 projects. Moreover, the meeting offers opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME:s) to discuss their project ideas with EUSME support office representatives.

You will also meet the national experts to the programme committee and the National Contact Points (NCP) for SC5. There will be opportunities for networking and more informal discussions during the coffee break.

Horizon 2020 info meeting on Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research

The bioeconomy and the Bio-based industries Joint Undertaking

The information meeting is aimed at actors from universities, institutes, companies and public sector who are actively seeking funding for collaborative research and innovation projects within the food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy (challenge 2 within Horizon 2020) as well as in the Bio-Based area. The upcoming work programme offers great opportunities for Swedish actors in the area.

The meeting provides an opportunity to meet with Dr Barend Verachtert, Deputy Head of Unit Bio-based products and processing. Dr Verachtert, will give an overview of the opportunities within the upcoming call in Challenge 2 within Horizon 2020 and the Biobased industiries Joint Undertaking.

There will also be project examples from Horizon 2020 funded projects who will share their experiences on setting up projects within the area. The Swedish Programme Committee expert from Formas as well as VINNOVA's National Contact Point (NCP) for challenge 2 will be at the meeting. There will be opportunities for networking and more informal discussions during the coffee break. The seminar will be held in English and webcasted on this webpage.
